A custom shirt is the most-worn garment in any wardrobe, and the one we spend the most time getting right. The pattern is drafted to twenty-eight individual measurements rather than the eight or so used in ready-to-wear. We split the yoke between the shoulder blades so the shirt actually follows your back, and we stitch the side-seams with a single needle for a flatter, longer-lasting line.
We hold roughly two hundred cuts at any time, weighted toward fabrics that work in our climate: Sea-Island and Egyptian poplins, oxford weave cottons, tropical linens, seersuckers and brushed twills. Mills include Thomas Mason, Albini, and Canclini.
Allow four weeks from measure to delivery. A first shirt is RM 690; subsequent shirts on the same pattern are RM 590. Premium mill cloths add roughly RM 200 to RM 600 to the price depending on the cut.
We typically suggest starting with three shirts — one white poplin, one pale blue, one patterned — so we can confirm the pattern on the first delivery before cutting in volume.
White poplin, pale blue end-on-end, and a houndstooth twill is the trio we recommend to most new clients. We'll confirm the pattern on the first delivery before going further.
