Every Novablox jacket is built with a floating canvas chest — a layer of horsehair-and-wool haircloth pad-stitched by hand to the wool front. The canvas is what gives the jacket its shape, its drape, and the ability to mould to your posture over time. Fused interlinings (glued chest pieces, in plain terms) are never used here.
The lining is a 100% Bemberg rayon for breathability in our climate, hand-fell-stitched along the armhole and pick-stitched along the lapel. The buttonholes — sleeve and front — are sewn entirely by hand. If you want surgeon's cuffs that genuinely open, that is the only kind we make.
Allow eight to ten weeks from first measure to delivery. A two-piece in our house worsted starts at RM 5,800; a three-piece at RM 7,400. Italian and English mill cloths are quoted on the day — the cloth library lives on the long table.
The price includes all fittings, the final hand-finish, the first press, and lifetime alterations on the original garment.
Most commissions need three appointments: the consult-and-measure, a baste fitting in muslin, and the forward fitting in cloth. A fourth appointment is occasionally added for unusual figures or first-time clients.
The first visit is unhurried. We measure, we walk through the cloth, we answer the questions you arrived with and the ones that come up in conversation.
