The understandings under which we accept a commission. Plain English, not legalese. Last revised 14 May 2026.
These terms apply to bespoke tailoring services provided by Novablox Atelier Sdn Bhd (registration 1521478-K), located at Suite F-C18, Vista Damansara, Jalan Damansara Perdana 7, 47820 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia.
A commission begins when you confirm the cloth, cut and price after the first consultation. We require a fifty per cent deposit at that point. The remaining balance is payable on delivery.
The deposit secures the cloth and the cutting time. It is non-refundable once the cloth has been ordered or cut, except in the circumstances described in our return and refund policy.
Bespoke garments require two to four fittings depending on the piece. Fittings are by appointment only and held at our atelier. Missed fittings without 24 hours’ notice may delay the delivery date; we will always do our best to accommodate rescheduling.
Indicative timelines for each service are stated on the relevant services pages. Actual delivery depends on cloth availability and the complexity of the commission, and may be longer for cloths sourced internationally. We will confirm a delivery window at the point of taking your deposit and update you if it changes.
Every Novablox garment is hand-finished. Minor variations in stitching, lining colour and button alignment are characteristics of hand-made tailoring and are not defects. If the finished garment does not match the agreed specification, we will adjust or remake it at our cost.
All commissions include lifetime alterations on the original garment, lifetime pressing, and lifetime button replacement at no further charge. Lifetime means the working life of the garment in your wardrobe. Alterations to accommodate body changes greater than 4cm (chest or waist) may attract a re-cutting fee, which we will quote in advance.
You may cancel a commission before the cloth is cut. Where the cloth has been ordered but not cut, the deposit covers the cloth cost; the balance of the deposit is refundable. Where the cloth has been cut, the deposit is non-refundable.
Our liability under any commission is limited to the price paid for that commission. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss arising from an event the garment was intended for.
We inspect every length of cloth before cutting. If a fault is discovered in the cloth that affects the appearance of the finished garment, we will replace or remake at no charge, even if the fault is detected after delivery.
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute that cannot be resolved by direct conversation will be referred to the courts of Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
We may revise these terms occasionally. The revision date at the top of this page indicates when the current version came into force. Changes do not affect commissions already in progress.
