Bridal & Formal Wear.

The garments worn on the day a photograph is taken every twenty minutes. Cut for movement, for heat, for hand-embroidery and for the wearer’s mother who will see it first.

For the bride

Cheongsams & tea-dresses.

Most of our bridal commissions begin twelve weeks before the wedding, with a long first conversation between the bride, often her mother, and us. We work through silhouette, sleeve, neckline, and the slip details that don't show in the final photographs but matter to the wearer all day.

For the tea ceremony we cut classic and modern cheongsams in mulberry silk, silk-cotton blends, or hand-loomed Penang silk. Embroidery is done in-house by our embroideress, who works in floss-silk over a paper-traced motif. The lining is always a breathable Bemberg.

For the reception we cut tea-length and full-length gowns in either silk crepe or duchesse satin. The bodice is often boned at the side-seam and centre-front; the skirt is constructed with two or three lining layers.

For the groom & party

  • Tuxedos in midnight navy, black, or warm ivory with peak lapel or shawl collar
  • Morning suits for ROM and church weddings
  • Linen suits for garden and beachside ceremonies
  • Coordinated groomsmen suiting across six to ten cloths

The schedule

  • Week 12 — consult, cloth selection, all measurements taken
  • Week 8 — muslin baste fitting, paper pattern confirmed
  • Week 4 — forward fitting in cloth, embroidery confirmed
  • Week 2 — finalising fitting; any adjustments to weight or posture accounted for
  • Week of — the garment is steamed in the room and collected the day before

Pricing

Cheongsams start at RM 4,400 in silk. Reception gowns from RM 6,200. Tuxedos from RM 6,800. Groomsmen-party suiting is quoted as a package across the wedding-party headcount.

Begin the wedding wardrobe.

Bridal commissions are scheduled three months in advance so the bride can come back for a second pinning the week before the day. We rarely take on rushes.
